Wexford County Council is proud to champion youth creativity and environmental awareness through the Rubbish Film Festival. Our joint commitment to sustainable development ensures that young filmmakers not only learn new media skills but also gain an understanding of how local actions contribute to global change.
This is the 4th year that the Festival has run in partnership with Wexford County Council. Over 80 students in 7 secondary schools across County Wexford directly participated in an onsite two-day workshop focused on environmental storytelling through film.

The onsite Regional Awards were held at Wexford County Hall on the 10th March, with many schools, and special guests Cathaoirleach Joe Sullivan, Mayor Garry Laffin, Councillor Donal Kenny, and EAO Cliona Connolly in attendance.
