Be a part of the movement amplifying youth-led climate action awareness
The Rubbish Film Festival is a national environmental education and media literacy programme for Transition Year students. Established in 2016, it now operates across more than 20 local authorities and engages over 1,800 students each year.
Students create one-minute films exploring climate action, waste reduction, biodiversity, sustainable transport and responsible consumption.
The programme culminates annually in the Rubbish Film Festival National Awards, a flagship event held in Dublin at the Lighthouse Cinema, celebrating regional winners and showcasing youth-led climate storytelling. The awards are live streamed nationally to participating schools and communities.
